How is our formulation different from commercial conditioners?
Whilst this is not a natural product, our formulation is different from commercial conditioners based on the following criteria.
- Silicone Free: Our formulation proudly declares being silicone-free, differentiating themselves from many commercial conditioners that commonly include silicones for their silky effects on hair. Instead, we choose natural oils and active ingredients to nourish and envelop the hair shaft. Silicones are synthetic compounds containing silicon, oxygen, carbon, and hydrogen, are widely used in hair care products due to their smoothing and water-repelling properties. However, over time they can lead to issues such as buildup, making hair appear dull and weighed down. The hydrophobic barrier created by silicones may also impede moisture absorption, causing dryness and increased vulnerability to breakage. Critics argue that consistent silicone use may create dependency, masking underlying hair issues, and there are environmental concerns regarding their persistence in the environment. By opting for silicone-free formulations, we prioritize natural alternatives for healthier hair and reduced environmental impact.
- SLS and SLES Free: We do not use Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) or Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate (SLES) in our formulations. We use natural or naturally derived surfactants (such as isothionates, glucosides, or other natural alternatives).
- Paraben and Triclosan Free: We do not use these preservatives in our formulations. Instead, we use industry-accepted natural or food-grade preservatives to ensure microbial safety in our products.
- Mineral Oil Free: We use natural emollients in our conditioners as compared to mineral oil.
- Artificial Colour Free: We do not add any artificial colors to our formulations.
- Cruelty-free: We do not test any of our products on animals.
- Certified End Product: Our products are certified by PCSIR Labs and PSQCA, which enhances trust on our products to be used with the peace of mind.
- Vegan: Our products are vegan formulas.
- Active Ingredients: Our products incorporate haircare active ingredients meticulously chosen for their efficacy in addressing specific hair concerns. These actives are primarily sourced from plant origins, and a majority hold COSMOS and/or ECOCERT certifications, ensuring their organic and natural qualities. Other active ingredients utilized in our formulations include synthetic vitamins and minerals that naturally occur in the body. Examples of such ingredients include Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, and Vitamin B5. These substances, while synthetically extracted from botanical origins, are selected for their well-documented benefits for the body in haircare. We prioritize safety, relying on comprehensive safety and technical research data for each raw material to determine appropriate percentages. Our commitment is to avoid incorporating ingredients at low percentages solely for marketing claims.
